Instead, charge the authors, they have facilitated China’s “economic diaspora” thanks to their “thirst for short-term political power and financial gain.” Moreover, they have “fooled themselves” into “transferring untold potential wealth to China” in the form of technology transfers through the medium of offshoring.”

Nick holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a bachelor’s in Finance and International Business from McGill University, Canada.
Pete Read is an entrepreneur and business consultant specializing in China and the Asia Pacific region. He has lived and worked in Asia for 18 years, and has led hundreds of research and consulting assignments for some of the most successful multinational and Chinese companies, including American Express, China Mobile, Haier, Intel, Samsung and Walt Disney. Pete studied the history, geography and economics of China at the University of London's School of Oriental & African Studies and the London School of Economics.
